Cant see Squadmate

Hello, I have been having a new issue when playing with my friend. When we play, he can see me, but I can not see him. If he shoots my ship, I see the shield react, I can see his beacon in supercruise, but when we drop to normal space he can see me, but I can not ever see him. In stations, planets, POI, where ever, does not matter, always the same.

What we have tried:
  • Port forwarding on both our routers, 5100, to our computers
  • Setting the game config file to use port 5100
  • Deleting all windows firewall settings for the game, and starting fresh trying to use port 5100
The results are always the same, he can see me and I cant see him. We are in differnet locations, not the same network. This has been going on for weeks now, this is in Odyssey. It has become very frustrating. Any suggestion? Google is full of threads with the above fixes which we have tried, or threads that die with no answer.

I'd have said port forwarding as well. Outside of that firewalling, either on your router, your PC (you say youv'e resert that) or in an internet security suite. If youhave exhaused possibilities there, then Frontier support would be the next call.

Do not disable any firewall as part of this procedure (just knock a narrow hole through it where needed)
