Can't See UI/Targets in HUD!!! (not a rant)

Hi Guys,
I have a serious issue with my HUD Targeting, and this has been a problem ever since I started playing. I can not see targeted planets/objects/UI through certain parts of my "windscreen", this only happens on a few ships, the hauler and viper are the worst. It's like having a clear piece of plastic over parts of the windscreen. I am pretty computer illiterate but have tried my best, I have tried:

1. Changing settings in game.
2. Searching for older posts with this issue, the following is all I could find (1 of them is mine):
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=112121
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=57285
none of which helped much.
3. Created a support ticket Ticket #00000033690 on the 2/2/15.
4. Updated Drivers and all system updates are up to date.
5. Spoke with a few computer literate friends that play the game.
6. Uninstalled and reinstalled game.

I have a laptop that I play ED on it is a Samsung NP305V5A:
Processor: AMD A8-3530MX APU with Radeon HD Graphics 1.9GHz
8GB RAM
64-bit operating system
and I think the graphics driver version is: Ver 8.910.0.0

in my Type 7 and this is a relatively good vision, compared to some of the other ships...

these are the "transparent bubbles" all over this windscreen, there are more when I look right and left as well.

Please help,
Cheers REDRUM.

So even if you have something targeted, the HUD will disappear in those zones?

If so that is very strange. I have only seen that effect when I have damaged or blown out cockpit!

Have you tried turning off reflections?
I've never seen that before, just glare reflecting on the windshield/screen when near a star.

that is correct, the "targeting animation" over a targeted destination, object or ship will disappear whilst in those boxes. Like in the pics above, I have have put the targeted destination on the edge of the "invisible bubble" for better effect for the screenshots...

I just double checked then, there isn't an option to turn off the reflections, only LOW/HIGH, I have tried both options and it didn't help, I leave it on low anyway... Thanks :)

What type of Radeon HD graphics card do you have?

how can I find out :/ I am kinda computer illiterate...

EDIT> Scratch that..... go to search (in start button) and type in Device Manager > then click on display adapters

Ok, so in Device Manager>Display Adapters there are two choices:
AMD Radeon 6630M Graphic
AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6620 G

Just went into properties and "checked for updates" on both and found all newest updates are installed.

The 6620 G is an integrated graphics card. The 6630M is an actual physical card so this is the one that the laptop is probably using. Integrated cards will default (usually) when no other card is present. I looked up the 6630M and it appears to meet all the requirements for the game. Biggest concern was supporting DX10 which it does. Hmmm....

Sorry...thinking out loud. That is a really odd issue you have, not that you didn't need me to say that, but it appears at least that one of the games special FX is interfering. I would go through the graphics options and disable or lower one option at a time and see if it clears up your issue. If one is causing the issue then keep it off/or low until customer support can get back with you (may take them some time).

I am usually VGA card agnostic, but these days if a PC is going to have gaming as one of its primary use, I take the hit and go nVIDIA.

Does the "invisible spots" scale (get bigger and smaller) if you change the field of view (FOV)? FOV can be changed in, i believe, graphics options or control options. It is a slider that goes left and right. Left is small FOV, right is long FOV.

ok, I went through and changed all graphics settings 1 by 1 and no change was made at any point the "Invisible/Blind Spots".
When I changed my field of view the "Blind spots" stayed the same size, the only change was my "head" camera position was further or closer to the glass/windscreen and the "Blind Spot" stayed as if stuck to the windscreen, like clear contact adhesive on a glass panel.

That is so weird. I expected if it was some specialFX or setting that the FOV would reflect in the spots getting larger and smaller. I really hope customer support helps you cause that issue would drive me bat-crap insane.

Also, when you updated your graphic card drivers did it detect both cards or just one? That could be an issue if it updated only one.
