Can't seem to meet "Build a Coaster" objective

Hey gang,

Maybe I'm just bad at this, but I always end up getting stuck at this objective in every career mode. I usually spend hours winging it until i get it.

I'm at the Golem Rampage stage and the "Build a Coaster" objective is:

- AT LEAST 5.0 Excitement (I got 7.11)
- AT MOST 6.0 Neasea (I got 5.80)
- AT LEAST 1000 m long (I got 1687 M)
- An average speed of AT LEAST 25 mph (I got 31 mph)

Also I like to mention the fear level is 9.57. XD

So with my current stats, I thought I should already have met the objective requirements. But it's not recognizing it? Unless I'm reading this all wrong. Could someone correct me or give me some pointers.

Thanks in advance!

I'm having a similar problem with The Great Tree objective! I don't understand what is up with this... If they mean "peak" results that is just waaaay too nit-picky! I do assume they mean the average results... Otherwise it's just a pain in the behind.

Did you open it? Open up the heatmaps on the coaster builder anywhere there are very large or small numbers try to even them out. I like to use the cloud runner for these type of objectives where you must have a minimum speed. Don't try to be the fastest coaster and try to lower the fear which should raise excitement and lower nausea.

For that stage, I don't even know how I met the objective. I was tweaking my coaster and somehow I completed it. But when I looked at the stats, it didn't even match. So odd.

Larke, I've used heatmaps and everything, but my point was that I believe I met the objective requirements with my stats given above, but the game is not recognizing it. I'm wondering if it needs to be as close to the objective numbers as possible. They're listing the required stats with "at least" and "at most" I just assume it doesn't want us to go below or above a certain number.

I have run into this on a couple of scenario objectives. What I believe, even though it is not specified in the objective, is that none of your value averages should be in the red. Which means that the FEAR level being in the 9.5 range is not allowing you to move on. If you can get that into a yellow or green number, then I believe that it will finally give you the objective.

Another thing I noticed, which is not something in your case, is that the average number result seems to be presented rounded-up from the actual average. In other words, if you get an Excitement that is actually 4.999 the game will present the average as 5.0 and you will not get the objective. This happened to me where I was getting an exact 5.0 showing but I was not getting the objective. So I smoothed out a piece of track a tiny bit more, it still showed the average as 5.0 and I got the objective.

That was with the last patch though, so it may be a non-issue now.

Hey thanks, this clarify things a bit more. I'll try lowering the fear level and see if that does that trick. Thanks again!

Hmm okay so now my stats are:

Excitement = 7.08
Fear = 5.18
Nausea = 3.17
Length = 1304 M
Avg Speed = 25 mph

It's not letting me meet the objective. Haha I give up. But thanks for the suggestion though.

I had this problem as well. But what was holding me up was that I had to actually build the queue and open the ride. Then it popped that the objective was met. Have you done that?

to OP,

I almost made all stars of all career map. Reading the stats of your ride bring me to one simple anwser:

Connect your ride to the path and open it

as simple as that

Nothing to feel silly about. This happened to me as well, but it did not cross my mind when I read this post. [big grin]
