Can't switch between ships error/bug or just me?

I am in my T9 with a Taipan loaded. Flew to another dock and it is red on all ship transfers. It says you cannot transfer Drones between ships?

I stored my fighter bay, but it still says it. I am stuck in one ship.....help!

Exactly as the message told you "you cannot transfer drones between ships". Sell your drones, switch ships, re-buy drones if you still need them.
PS. A fighter is not a drone. It means drones like collector limpets.

Why would you have to sell your drones each time? They created this incredible game and couldn't swing that?

I sold the fighter bay = no change


aaaah, drones are limpets.....got it. So I have to drop all limpet drones if I want to move to a ship. Reporting this as a bug.

Not a bug but hey ho.

Its because of the odd situation where limpets are "ammo" but take cargo space. If you swapped ship to one without a limpet controller you can't sell them as they are not a commodity and you don't have the controller to go to the ammo menu and sell them there. Sadly at present that means it's a no-go to change ships with them.
