Can't transfer commodities from my fleet carrier

Does anybody know a work around for this problem. It's more or less game-breaking for me. My fleet carrier is full of platinum, but when I try to transfer it to my trade Cutter to sell it, it won't let me. If I try to transfer too much at a time, I get a dialogue pop-up with a red warning triangle, a $ symbol and "close" caption. When I select close, it cancels the transaction. The problem is that the amount I'm allowed to transfer is unspecified and variable. It's been as high as 200T, but presently, it's closer to 20T. Each attempt is a lottery because it changes each time. Tonight, it's just impossible to fill it, so I have to give up and do something else with no possibility to use my FC storage. I've been at it for about 10 minutes and managed to transfer only 38T.

It lets me transfer some other commodities under different rules. I can transfer 34 meta alloys at once, but 34 platinum. Last time, it wouldn't let me transfer any Osmium at all, then later, i was able to get transfer the whole 200T at once.

I think I had a similar issue to this a couple of days ago.

I was buying Tritium from an FC, I'd dock my T9, buy 750t of Tritium, check my right-HUD and it'd tell me my cargo hold was still empty.
Fortunately, in that case, I just tried to make the purchase again and as soon as I went back to the purchase screen I got a message saying my cargo hold was full.
Then I'd look at my right-HUD and, sure enough, it'd show that I had 756t of Tritium loaded.

I'm guessing this is the same "transaction server" issue that's preventing collector limpets from dumping stuff into your cargo.
The game is just taking it's sweet time deciding to allow players to take ownership of things.

This seems to be an intermittent problem. Apart from relogging, you could always set a low price sell order and buy it from yourself. This may work. Remember to restrict carrier access.

I've been lucky enough not to have any issues (ever) with carrier transfers of commodities causing actual errors and failing. This may be blind luck.

What I have had on many occasions (both in recent weeks and going back a least a couple of years) is the issue that @Stealthie mentions - which is therefore (I believe) not the same issue as the OP is experiencing. To be precise: I've repeatedly had the "buy some goods from a carrier but they don't show up in your hold until you muck about" issue. (I can't recall if this issue also manifests with the transfers or if it has only happened to me when I've bought stuff.)

Recently I've also had my collector limpets dawdling about at an open cargo hatch on a good few occasions, and I am more than ready to believe what I've read here on the forum, which is that this is to do with the transaction servers needing fitter hamsters. It's very plausible that this is also the source of the "errors when transferring carrier goods" problem, given the intermittency/variability.
