Ship Builds & Load Outs Can't Understand the UI

Hi,

if someone understands the UI at all please help?

I'm trying to buy modules for my ship. I hate this new system. It is more idiocracy with pictures instead of words: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXzJR7K0wK0

I am trying to buy the components for a Diamondback Explorer. By memory I know how to do this, but what I don't understand is where the side-by-side comparisons went?

For example, let's say I'm comparing a 4A to a 4D? It used to be if I had one or the other equipped there would be numbers showing in blue or red text what this is doing for me. Now? Now I can't tell what the hell I'm supposed to be interested in. Where's it telling me the power draw? Where's this mass verses another? What's that giant bar running through the middle of the loadout image for?



Frontier, if you're reading this please punch in the teeth whoever came up with this entire thing. We're building spaceships here. We need clear cut technical information, not a      gallery for people who get off to the imagines of machinery.

For anyone else, how the hell do you read this?

To be honest I just use the Coriolis shipyard web application and then have it open on my second monitor to transfer my builds into the game.
