Can't upload images to forum

I haven't posted images to the forum for ages, but tried today and get the "not a valid image file" message. I've converted to .jpg, tried reducing the image size, made the file size as small as possible but still no joy. I've searched and can't find anything on this.

I'm probably missing something obvious but am out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Uploading images directly to the forum was turned off a little while ago, you will have to use an external image host now.

Grab your image url, put it between

tags and you're good to go.

I too spent time trying to upload an image. Don't know why they can't just disable it properly.

This is unfortunate because download an image directly from the hard drive was very convenient

Use a site like Imgur:
http://imgur.com/

Then link to the image in your post by copying and pasting the BBCode (In image library)

Or use the Get Share Links (when uploading a new image):

If you have one you can just post it on facebook and get the url from there.
