Can't Use Neutron Star Highway

I'm trying to get back to the bubble, from about 5000LY away. I jump to a neutron star, supercharge my FSD, and exit the cone. I open up the galaxy map, select "FSD Boost", search for the next neutron star that the Spansh router gives me, and it tells me it's too far to plot a route.

If I "select" the neutron star, exit the galaxy map, point my ship at it and try to engage the fsd, it says it exceeds the fuel usage.

I can't figure out what's going wrong, I'm following all the instructions I've found, and frontier's bug report forum isn't loading so I can't open a ticket.

Can anyone help me figure this out?

Is the number of jumps for that section of the Spansh route equal to 1? If it is more than 1 you will need to plot a route, or navigate manually. I note you say the game's plotter cannot route you - are you close to the edge of the galaxy?

I have encountered situations where the game would not let me jump a distance that the right-hand status panel clearly stated was within my jump range. This seemed to be when I was low on fuel - if you don't have a full tank try filling up.

Lastly, because it's always the simple things, check that you typed your plotting range into Spansh accurately.

Might not have enough fuel to complete the jump, Yes your ship can preform that jump but would burn more fuel then you have currently.
Or you have cargo that is messing with your mass and the FSD is complaining the ship is too heavy for that range.
Likewise the galaxy map plot routed may not have it set to fastest route.

The neutron star I'm at says 7 on the same line, for number of jumps. On the line for the next neutron star, it says 6.

I scooped to full at the previous star before jumping into the neutron star system. My supercharged jump range is about 145LY. The next neutron star is 253LY away. Everything I've found says that the route SHOULD plot for one 145LY jump, and continue the route at my normal 35LY range, but it simply doesn't let me do the first jump.

Lastly, because it's always the simple things, check that you typed your plotting range into Spansh accurately.

My "Current jump range" is 35.77LY. I'm putting 35 into Spansh.

That could be it. The light blue section of my fuel after plotting the supercharged jump isn't the entire line, although it is most of it. I'm in an AspX and I don't think I upgrade the fuel tank, so it's the normal tank.

Or you have cargo that is messing with your mass and the FSD is complaining the ship is too heavy for that range.

No cargo on board. Wouldn't using the ship panel's "Current Jump Range" factor this in?

Likewise the galaxy map plot routed may not have it set to fastest route.

Fastest route? That's another setting other than "FSD Boost" that has a "Use Jet-cone boost" setting, but Exigeous' video has him using FSD Boost at full level for "Supercharged."

Yeah that should be you have 6 jumps to reach the next neutron star.
Exigeous in his video shows a split second of him using FSD Boost. this is not the same as a Neutron star boost. FSD Boost is the material created feature you have in your right panel. It burns materials to give your FSD a boost in jump range but does not combine with Neutron Stars.

You copy the next star from the spansh site and throw it into ED. check fastest route and jet-cone boost and it should plot a route you can make.

If you use Jet-Cone Boost. You do not have to every jump the windows in the Neutron Router by skipping 5 or 6 stars, then copy the name and enter the Plot Route the galactic map. It's much faster. And if you run out of fuel and Plot Route ranks the scoopable stars.

Yep, that's been a change since long ago when I made the video. Good tip.

Holy crap man, you're awesome. That's the issue.

I asked twice in the subreddit question threads, and once on the Spansh thread here on the FD forums. Not one person caught that!

YOU ROCK

No problem. Best of luck with the long travel ahead.
Side note, that Jet-Cone Boost feature is a fairly new feature to the route plotter in game. With just that you should be able to plot a very long route and the game will attempt to use neutron stars automatically.
Real question is , is it as good as the Spansh site?
You can test that by trying to plot multiple jumps head from the Spansh list and see if the number of jumps is better using the in game plotter to the same destination.
