Can't use Steam wallet in store

Saw it once today, but after refreshing it disappeared. Recently misplaced my card so I need to use the Steam wallet but it won't let me.

I think this might be because I have an alt acco that uses Steam wallet? Naturally a different Steam account though so I guess FD really ought to fix their shop by now. It's been ages since ARX came and it's been more or less in shambles since then.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can change the payment method? It only allows cards or paypal, not Steam when I click on the "add new". And dear FD; at least fix your shop. You need the money.

Weird tho.

Aaaand you can't pay Steam wallet with bank transfers, just credit card... back to square one. Have to admit I am positively enthralled by the exquisite splendor how wonderful it is to operate in the modern world without a smart phone or a bank card... :'D

You can do it, when you log into arx.elitedangerous.com do it via steam authentication don't use your frontierstore details (You need to link them via frontierstore.net prior). If you log in using the steam button it becomes the payment option.

Also if you care about such things you're offered to pay in 4 different currencies so a cross rate might be better for you. Steam does the currency conversion pretty much with the on the minute spot price so there's no dodgy mark ups. That frontier put on if you buy arx bundles priced in your local currency on steam.. just saying.

I did that currency switch before. Guess I overdid coz I can not anymore. Has happened to one other bud.

And yea I have linked accounts but it's an issue with two accounts. Alas, I managed it, but my wallet was empty and can't up the steam without card either. Sad face.

I do it with 2. You simply unlink the one its currently linked to first from within frontierstore.net. There's no delay in how quickly you can relink the steam account to another frontier account, ive done it many times. Good luck!

EDIT: You can definitely swap them back immediately once the transaction is done if its for an alt account etc.
