Capital class interdictors and jump range

I haven't the slightest clue but to venture a guess I'd first say pretty low (10ly or fewer). But then again, seeing as capital ships are government and military vessles I'd assume they have access to more advanced frame shift drives than the general public.

My best guess would be around 15ly.

Recently I've been interested in reading some of the books that are recognized cannon to the ED timeline, but I haven't gotten around to that yet.

Why are you thinking so low? Bigger ships mean bigger FSDs. Stations can have a 100Ly jump range I belive.

I would thought as they are mainly made up of a massive power plant and bigger drive units that they would have a decent jump range, theory being that these are your fire fighters like paratroopers or the waffen SS panzer divisions. Pulled from one crisis point to another to tackle major breakthroughs. If you need these ships at major CZ's you would hope that they could get there relatively quick, I understand mass ect should reduce jump range but capital ships should have a massive power plant and not have to balance modules like us CMDR's.

I was basing my guesstimation off of the Corvette. I wasn't aware of the stations having a jump range.
I mean 100ly would make sense after hearing that

Yes, we have mobile space station in Elite Dangerous universe (at least one) and "it is logical" (Star Trek) they have 100 or above Ly jump range.

*Goes to work trying to steal the Station FSD and bolt it to his Viper.*

Yea? Good luck.

They can be in witch space almost indefinitely so they technically do not have a jump range.
