Capital Ship encounters.

Within the last week when I was in sol, there was a federation capital ship in that system. You should be able to find it in super cruise if you are by the nav beacon.
Theres a place where the 'Onion Head' rug is sold (check the galnet news) there is 3 capital ship events al clustered together.......

Knock ur self out, have been there for a few days but I moved on.

KAPPA FORENICS or somting, the last bit maybe spelt wrong: goto the main farm station I think its only station there, you will see the capital events pop up on map

Oh yes and I think it's Kappa Fornacis (for searching the galaxy map). I'd forgotten about that little contretemps. I might head out there later myself. Cheers
I'm bumping this thread, because I've just headed over to Kappa Fornacis and I have to say that place is an absolute riot!
It's actually a bit over the top, in that if you do the right thing and back the Federal forces there against the insolent Farmers' Union, you get kills for very little effort, and so it won't be any sort of challenge at all - too easy in fact. The capital ship's guns will do the most damage and yet you will get the credit (and the credits) almost every time. It's a license to print credits, but also a lot of simple fun I suppose.
If you want a bit of a challenge though, simply choose the other side and work against the Federation. Though such an act would be unconscionable.

I'll bump this again - I've just spent a hugely entertaining hour in Kappa Fornacis - gunning down farm-boys. And just once accidentally shooting at the capital ship (result - all those Fed Fighters turn red and open up on me with their lasers, as do all the emplacements on the capital ship ... my shields vanish just like that, and I take 150,000 Credits of hull damage before I can hit the 'run away' button).
A blast! I recommend anyone and everyone to have a go. Particularly if you're lucky enough to have access to an oculus rift. Just amazing.
