So I just learned that you can assign the chopper to a ranger post and it will lightly tranquilize Dinos that the ground team is doing a check on.

If I may suggest: have the chopper team take off before the Rangers enter the enclosure. I imagine from a coding perspective is that as soon as a jeep has triggered the assignment, the chopper takes off and does their thing. The chopper will easily outrun a jeep and arrive first.
