Carcosa

Not as such - although there is a little in Role Play:

It isn't so much of a war for the Reapers - more an exercise in credit farming and fun flying - the number of players being deployed by the aggressors far exceed the just in double digits lineup of the squadron.

Of course, the SPEAR page in squadrons contains a version of the progress also :)

ETA: Each of the threads, started by Reaper members, which detailed the struggle have been moderated and closed - so discussion is limited to generalities and non-specifics.

I know :)

Parked on your carrier this morning - did some groceries and now I'm back...

For me it's all quiet here though - lots of Fcs with fancy names but no live pilots ?

Interesting tick today:

No - it actually is the first time I pay close attention to these screens...

But this is the system everybody was talking about, will be interesting to see what happens :coffee:
If you chose to read the thread linked above you will read comments from Reapers stating they expect to lose this battle - so are not putting any real effort into winning...

But, as you say, it is interesting to view - as a 3rd party :)

For my part I'm just farming the credits- as said above the numbers are so unbalanced as to be impossible. Or ultimately impossible. The Nameless are the original owners of the system to obviously can't be evicted completely.

Explorers Nation will win for now but cannot get rid of the Nameless no matter what. Because of this whatever happens I suspect this is simply the first chapter

If there is an anarchy controlled ship yard you get access to Alliance and Fed ships. As such Carcosa being controlled by the Nameless is the only one in Colonia. If it falls to EN these ships will have to be bought in the bubble and shipped over by some means.

So EN by taking this action harm the Colonia Nebula as a whole

What's the link between the Nameless (potentially) losing control of Carcosa and the loss of ability to purchase alliance and federal ships?
Except for Powerplay effects (which don't apply out here), shipyard and outfitting selection is related to the superpower and government type of the controlling faction [1].

Superpower-aligned ships generally require a government of that superpower ... or an Anarchy faction of any superpower.

So if you want (superior Federal and Alliance technology | some more options for ships | trinkets that are an insult to a proudly independent Colonia) <delete according to allegiance> then either a superpower faction (there aren't any for over 20,000 LY) or an Anarchy faction needs to be in control of shipyards.

Other than Robardin Rock in Carcosa, there are no high-end shipyards near Colonia that it would be practical for an Anarchy faction to control, for various reasons.

[1] Exactly how it's related is not entirely clear, and there are obviously exceptions where Frontier have hand-coded particular systems or stations to produce particular modules/ships anyway - Shinrarta Dezhra Jameson Memorial being both an obvious example and a reason no-one's had much urgency to study this.

Cheers. I shall be dusting off the alliance chieftain for some CZ shenanigans tonight in the support of the nameless then by the look of things.

Also, thanks @Ian Doncaster. You can always be relied on to respond to any Colonia or BGS related queries.

I honestly don't get why other players begrudge even just one anarchy system in the Colonia bubble - in a sea of beige corporate or what have you government forms everywhere else that are all the same apart from their copy/paste faction names.

The fact it's supported by in my opinion one of the most colourful and friendly squadrons in Elite only makes it more of a shame.

And let's face it - an asteroid base next to a lava world that is anything but an anarchy? Get outta here.
