General / Off-Topic Card Models

:) No worries.

On a negative note, that page you link to must be quite old - most of the links are dead. :(

I'd be careful as well - the C-3P0 model looks like it belongs to a chap I know on a card modelling forum, and he is VERY shirty with sites that steal his stuff and don't credit him. The site that it links to is not his site. He has locked away and protected his models as a result of people crediting themselves as the creators of his models. He is an AWESOME designer, though. He's just finished a cutaway X-Wing that is nothing short of spectacular...

I'm not allowed to reveal his website address.

If you want awesome card models, check out papermodelers.com and zealot.com (I'm a member of the latter).

Be careful on Zealot, because they have a strict code of conduct there (due to a LOOOONG history of people really taking the mick), but they are a great group of guys.

@Selezen

That Snowspeeder on Zealot looks awsome....ok i cant create but love to build....you say they have a strict code so does that mean i couldnt sign up to make them ?

Zealot like members to contribute to the forum in some way. You have to post 10 meaningful posts on the forum before being given access to the download area, and if you download then they consider it polite to do something in return. Even something as simple as posting pics of either your build process or finished model is enough.

As an alternative, try out paper-replika.com as well. They have some really good models there.
