Insurance agent. The insurance industry is probably the largest yet underrated industry in FD.

Now if there can be multiple insurance firms to pick from that provide different packages, that'll be interesting. E.g. Insurance amount depending on cause of death.
 
4.:rolleyes: Politician (ugh) lol, career aspect, be able govern a system as part of a minor faction that is allied with a major power. (Don't have much more for this one as I hate politicians.)

Politicians IRL are (more often than not) scum. Playing political simulators, however, can be great fun. This is the one on your list that really jumps out as being the most fun.

Terraforming might be fun, but seems like it also might feel like work (then again, mining and trading also both feel like work to me...).
 
Deep space salvage would be pretty amazing. Particularly if combined with some minor exploration elements. I'd like to see older ships floating out deep in the black, prototype Asps perhaps, sleeper ships, old hulks, and eventually alien ships. You could be sent out to recover things or just information.

+1 Seconded, I can't wait to salvage ship wrecks.

Careers:

1. Crafting modules and items for ships from mined minerals.
2. Guild or Group Leader of multiple-wings who are part of the same group.
