Newcomer / Intro Cargo and missions!

Hey, now i got my cargo space to 10 in total on my sidewinder, and now it seems i dont get any missions from the BB ( Bullitin Board ). Also only get small delivery runs all the time around 1-2k creds..

Also how often does the BB update with offers?

Dunno what the mission update timer is, but 'relatively' short, about five to ten mins. If you get impatient you can always quit back to menu and restart, or just fly to another station. As a rule of thumb, the small starter stations dont have much of a population, and hence not many missions on offer, while the more populated stations gave a wider variety of stuff for you to do

As far as the mission rewards go, ya gotta start small, the various factions probably dont trust you enough for the good stuff... Yet

Rules of economy:
demand high = space station is buying this item at high price (sell here)
demand low = buying at low price
supply high = space station is selling this item at low price (buy here)
supply low = station is selling it at high price.

Get some starting money from doing small missions & use it to buy cargo you can trade at the same places you're doing missions to/from - means you make more money each run. The trick is to make a profit, & this is especially important at the start of the game because you need to build your credits quickly so you can move up to the higher priced & more profitable commodities. Money makes money.

1-2K in a sidey is more than you can make trading. Fill the empty spaces with cargo suitable for where you are going. You get the profit from the bulletin board and the trade.
