Cargo disappearing?

After killing a npc that dropped a lot of cargo or one that has jumped away. The cargo disappears after a bit. This is not acceptable. There is no reason for it to disappear. I barely get enough time to scoop up much especially if it was a long fight. because the first cargo drops starts going away. It Needs to stay until you finish scooping or exit the instance. In reality or any other game it would stay until it was recovered. Don't you guys think they should fix this?

The cargo canisters deteriorate when floating in space (I think because they are pressurized ?)

This gives a limited life span before they implode and the cargo is destroyed.

I have had the same situation many times, been in a battle which has dragged on for a while and missed some of the canisters before getting back to them. It is annoying after you have put in the time to destroy the pirate etc, but i suppose it adds a bit of realism to the event of piracy / salvage

No realism here at all. They would never deteriorate that quick. It would take weeks or years or even more in space. Not to mention how would gold or even the canister itself deteriorate in 10 to 20 min. It is very very unrealistic. Don't mean to be blunt and I appreciate the comment but this is something that should be addressed and fixed soon. Along with a very long list of other really bad bugs. but that's another topic LOL.
