Cargo Insurance

A federal security service F63 CONDOR just decided to ram my TYPE-7 oneshotting it.
I've got the option to pay a % of hull and modules so i managed to get back the ship as it was.
Then there is the cargo. I had 1.4M worth of cargo that just vanished leaving me without enough credits to repay the TYPE-7 in case of loss.

I saw that there is a "Cargo Insurance" voice at 0%. Is there anyway to increase this % ?

Is it normal for a F63 CONDOR to oneshot a TYPE-7 ?

There is an entry for cargo insurance in the right hand UI panel which currently always read 0, maybe a placeholder for a coming feature

Not in the game that I can see. I would imagine it's a placeholder like others are saying. OR, maybe this comes with rep with a faction within a certain area. So if you are high enough rep, they will cover your losses if something happens if you have insurance ... who knows? My guess is placeholder though.

From the official FAQ:

There is a creditor available, in case you cannot quite afford all of your insurance costs. They will only offer money up to a set amount, beyond which they will cut you off. If you still cannot afford to pay off your debts with credit, then you will automatically be declared bankrupt, forcing you back to your starting ship and set up (including location).

Were you not afforded credit to pay for the Type-7 insurance costs giacdegiac?
