Cargo Missions for Type 9 Heavys?

I have a Type 9 Heavy, outfitted for maximum cargo capacity, and yet, there's not a single mission that really takes advantage of the volume of cargo the Type-9 can carry. You're either blocked by the ship being too large, or more joyously offered paltry sums for wing missions that actually pay less than a solo transport mission.

Between removing mission types and killing off any chance for players to make enough money to actually expand their fleet and actually engage in content that will often involve high-level ships and their associated rebuys and insurance, is there any chance someone could competently fix mission payouts instead of the utter insanity of randomly generating sums. The schizophrenic mission board design of Elite Dangerous is frustrating at best and mind-numbingly tedious at worst. FDEV, make up your mind as to what you want Elite to be, and please just stick to it.

My T9 and cutter usually get a good work out on CGs, but not the current one.
I think think the devs know the mission boards are a bit of a mess, hopefully some changes due. Real soon.

Solo a wing haulage mission. you'll have more cargo than space for a while.

On that note, I've seen a few wing-missions to transport gold which looked half-decent.
The quantities seem quite a bit less than other cargo so you're getting missions to shift, say, 1,200t of gold 20Ly for Cr10m.
Not bad for 2 trips in a Cutter or T9... providing nothing unexpected happens.

I'd suggest board flipping or switching systems. I've solo'd a number of wing cargo missions with my T9. I've also been able to stack more cargo missions with my T9 than ever before.

You are obviously in the wrong economy, try an Extraction or refinery. Shipping palladium usually fetch 14+ million per mission. Or imperial slave source missions can fetch 45+ million.

I, almost exclusively, fly a T-9 trader. I have never seen the missions you are describing.

It will take ages to complete even with 700 cargo. Much better in cr/t solo missions

Not really, a lot of solo haulage missions are to outposts which is not much good for T9 or Cutter. Wing haulage are always to Starports or planet side. and a lot of the Wings are profitable, you just need to know where to look.

Then you are obviously not looking very hard or you have been extremely unlucky. Any Extraction that's in 'Boom' will have Palladium going somewhere and Imperial systems will often have source missions for imperial slaves which really pay well.

The payout for Wing Missions Suck (Do the math)...

Find a couple of relatively isolated systems near the edge of the bubble which basically move cargo/pass between themselves. Both should have a reasonable population and payouts optimized if at least one is an extraction economy. I'm making about 7-9 Mil for each 120-180T mission to another system 13 LY away to a single station with an arrival distanced between 500-2000 LS. I can stack at least 4 of those 180 T missions in my modestly equipped Cutter. I've been averaging 20-30 Mil in a single jump. No "exploits" required.

Ya gotta go looking for the best places to run missions and you need to spend the time to rep up with the factions. After that its a permanent gold mine for whenever you need some credits (cause, if you do it right, you're going to get tired of earning all those credits...)

If you are just wandering around looking for missions you are doing it wrong...

If you've the patience and the lobes for it, take a T-9 out for a nice, big, loopy trip around to fill it to capacity with Rare goods from all over the galaxy, then off to somewhere farthest from where you picked up the last item and sell the entire lot.

It's great money, you'll get to see a lot of interesting places along the way, and make a whole bunch of friends who've come a long way for what's in your hold.

LMAO, why not just paint a bullseye on your back while you are at it.

I sort of wish there was a Bullseye paintjob for the Type-9, I'd wear it proudly when I make a rare goods run. I love when pirates try to interfere with me.
My Type-9 trader is a pretty rugged ship, and has some pretty decent weapons, including a pair of packhound launchers.

I can confirm high paying missions for the T9, too, but more often those go to platforms than large stations. So, I just keep a cargo python handy in the same system, and swap between the two of them, since I can find 6-12M slave missions to a platform occasionally, or lacking that I can find a bunch of 1M+ 90-120 unit missions to stick in the T9 and only hit maybe 3 stations.

You'll definitely want to be allied with the right people, too. Frequently, it's the criminals with the best slave missions, at least in my neck of the woods.

Oooh, rare trade run--might be something to do in an Anaconda. :)
