Cargo rack engineering

Wonder if this will ever be a thing? Not sure what kinds of upgrades could be implemented. Some initial concepts that come to mind are:

Some form of modular storage to increase what each class rack can hold
Shielded racks from cargo scans (or better yet something that sends false data a % of time)
Some kind of antigravity upgrade to decrease laden weight because reasons?

Just spit balling.

So yeah ! Your idea sounds as valid as a scanner engineering to me.

It would be refreshing to me to see some more engineering aimed at non pew pew. Scanners are a good start and sensors as well.

Engineered fuelscoops that could either scoop faster, consume less power, or "cool" the ship somehow for deeper scooping would also be quite nice. And as a personal niceccesity (yes i know thats not a word) i would personally live engineered fueltanks that let you dump fues in case you fume jump into a system then refuel your 100+ ton tanks just to find out there are no stars close enough to jump back out.

Dumping fuel seems kind of a basic functionality, it should really be in the game already without engineering. I had always hoped for a fuel tank mod that allowed you to install an in line fuel scoop into your tank so you don't burn an internal compartment on a weightless intake adapter.

And def yes to cargo bay mods. You can rearrange shelving in a room so that you're able to efficiently fit more stuff in it, it's easy to imagine that being applied to cargo racks.

Those above 2 mods, a multi drone controller, and a combat ads/DSS would make me very happy.
