Some Federal missions have started to pop up where I have to supply some Stolen items, now if i get a Cargo Scanner it means I'll lose my Shield Booster or KW Scanner which I don't really wanna do, my question is if i accept the mission and come across a ship that has these items will it say Mission(or whatever it says) when i ship scan it or do I actually have to cargo scan it?

It might. Seems a bit random though.
cargo scanner is highly recommended for this kind of missions. hatchbreaker, too.
if you have problems finding a ship having the cargo (in many cases they wiill spawn in sc, in uss, at nav beacons etc.), use commodity market (where is this good imported from?), buying trade data via galmap, trade route filters etc. to find a system, which is exporting them.
