cargo scoop problem

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my cargo scoop. When I try to pick up a canister, the sensor on my ship isn't accurate. The canister will be bouncing off my ship but the indicator shows that it's still several meters away from me. I just lost a gold canister because of this. This has happened several times now since I bought the Adder. I didn't have this problem with my Sidewinder. How do I fix this?

i dont know the adder, but it could absolutly be you need to position the canister a bit BEYOND the middle to get it into your cargo hold. Cobra had a similar problem till they fixed it. The bouncing prbly is cause you hit the canister with the nose of your ship while your hatch is in the aft of your ship.

When you scoop retract your hardpoints, the weapons on the adder are in front of the scoop and could bounce the can off,
also try to scoop canisters slowly up, while keeping the can a bit below the centre.

What I mean is that the canister icon on my scanner shows it to be many meters away, even when I have it aimed dead center. But in reality, the canister is bouncing on my ship. I've never had this problem before. I used to be able to scoop them up easily.

Adder is known to have scooping problems.
Oh. Welp that stinks. :(

The Adder is a little twitchy when it comes to cargo scooping ... Generally it works for me though as long as your weapons are stowed.

Also make sure your landing gear isn't accidentally down as you wont be able to scoop anything in Adder.

Try aiming a little higher than usual. The Python has the same problem, I think it's because of the wedge shape of the nose. The scoop is actually a bit lower than where the scooping camera shows.

The distance shown to canister is how far away it is from your scoop, not your ship's front. If you have a long ship with a pointy nose (Python, Anaconda, Adder??) be careful swinging it around, you can bat the cargo around like a ball.
