I propose a hanger module that prints cargo shuttles in a similar manor to the SLF Hanger.
The module would be size 5 and be capable of preparing one shuttle.
It can only be equipped on large pad SLF capable ships.
The shuttle would have similar range to the SLF but would not be capable of operating on a planet.
The shuttle cannot be flown by an NPC.
When the shuttle is launched the pilot then has to deploy the cargo carrier they then have to proceed to the previously opened cargo hatch to acquire up to 350 tonnes of cargo which due to the lightweight structure of the carrier area will start to degrade as it does when abandoned in space.
Docking is carried out using the same procedures as for ship docking.
Once docked the only access is to the Commodities Market, Mission Board and the Black Market.
This module would allow large ships to interact with Outposts and pave the way for the Panther Clipper or similar true bulk carriers.
Structurally the shuttle would consist of a control area with thrusters on arms with behind that an expanding basket of slats and rods that make up the cargo carrier area.
