cargo storing like modules - is it time

now that there are a whole host of unknowns cargos laying about does anyone agree it is time to have a 20 or something size cargo rack liek we have the modules.
just to store unknown frags, links, bio, tech, probes, feces or what ever else.

I got 4 of them all the time in my hold and though its no bother would be nice to have the full set and not dissolve.
i figure they gonna be used by engineers in 2.4 for something

I agree, limited cargo capacity built like the module storage would be a good addition to the game. There are enough random nubbies floating around in the game now that some sort of pocket for them is a good idea. With a small overall storage amount (maybe more than 20 though, the other pockets already feel tight) there's no worry about people becoming space preppers and hoarding ridiculous volumes of every item possibly to fit in a cargo rack. There should be enough room to store a bunch of Engi nubbies you're partly done collecting if you have to go fly something cargoless in the interim, but not all of them at the same time for a one-day galactic unlock tour.

I imagine events decided by "bring cargo X to place Y" parameters in an unlimited galaxy would be primarily won by the folks with the biggest hoards and that's really lame gameplay (I put stuff in this box and waited!). The limited amount keeps the pocket for stuff you really want to hang onto like Special Space Poop without making it the warehouse from the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The argument against cargo storage has always been that they don't want players to flood the market. Can't see this happening with storage being limited to 20ish. Why not?
