Carnivorous Dinosaurs should hunt less often

If they have one half of Isla Sorna to roam around as much as they want, they shouldn't need to kill every other Animal. If it would be like that, we would've only seen Bones and maybe some Compsognatus in Jurassic Park 2 and 3

One half of Sorna? We only have a fragment of the island to build on. Considering tigers can have territories of up to 100km2, a dinosaur would probably have much more... Just saying.

That maybe so, but I doubt, that Tigers kill everything in that territory. Only those animals they consider a threat or a meal (provided they are hungry). I guess this feature could use some work. My Baryonix are attacking bigger dinos like the Iguanodon which of course gets them a big thumb claw in the gut. They would not attack them like that. And even if they did, they would of course seek to preserve their own live before finishing the fight as winner, which they are not able to. That is just dumb. Fight or Flee. There are always two options.

I actually think tigers would kill everything, but considering a 100km2 area is so huge, the chance that they run into prey are pretty slim. They walk for miles before coming in contact with prey... So it's not possible to kill all the time. I agree that they wouldn't fight to the death, before trying to escape. And they would avoid animals they can't take down.
