Carrier Jumps to Colonisation System

It would be a quality of life improvement to be able to jump my carrier to a specific planet within the system I am colonising, rather than the default entry point.

My first system, the colonisation vessel is just over 14,000 ls from my carrier. That makes for a 5 minute trip each way. Life would be easier if my carrier were parked maybe 14 ls away.

I thought we could jump carriers to any body in a system provided we had discovered them by visiting a FSSing the system and the slots weren't full of other peoples carriers.

Overloading of the jump system aside that is.

You can do this already.

From the carrier navigation menu, open galaxy map, select colonisation system, open system map (little solar system picture on the right side), click on the planet you want, click "set carrier destination". While the current jump slots crisis goes on you probably have to do this a few times.

Yes, but not if a system is being colonised apparently.

I know that's how it works. But in the system I am colonising, when I click a planet, I get the colonisation option to choose a planet for a construction site, not to set it as a carrier destination. Yes, that's going in via the carrier navigation screen.

Select the body you want then the yellow fleet carrier icon on the top right on the system map, for whatever reason it defaults to the architect mode.

Yeah, it defaults to the colonisation tab on the right:

You need to click on the yellow FC icon at the top:
