CARRIER loading / offloading TCUs

EDIT: deal's closed. Gonna get it offloaded and then that's it.

Hey, anyone interested in loading / offloading my carrier (Sethioz Prime - W3T-L3Z)? I already got in top 10%, so I'm no longer hauling cargo myself, but can give 10k profit per 1t of TCU. I'm currently sending it to:

That station has 100k+ supply for TCUs (checked 30 mins ago and only 2 other carriers that don't seem to be loading). If you're interested in doing several runs before CG runs out, you can add me on steam (same name).
Currently I'll just send it to that system and will check tomorrow if it's full, if yes, then back to Alcor or closest possible location.
Will buy @ 8500 per ton and sell 25000 per ton.

Average buying price for TCUs from a station is around 3,000 - 3,500 per ton I believe - so 5k profit on selling stock to Sethioz Prime.
CG is paying about 30k per ton, so if bought from Sethioz Prime at 25k, gives another 5k profit when selling at CG station.

5k + 5k = 10k :)

You're better off offering 10k on the buy price and selling at 30k. If someone loads up your carrier they get 5k per unit. Then when you open up at the other end they get 1 or maybe 2 runs in before the carrier is picked dry.

Also offering most of the profit on the loading side might also help you find people willing to do that.
Since most people would rather be freeloaders and wait in the CG system for the next full FC.

this isn't for profits, I'm offering my carrier to those who want to get into top 75% or higher. Reward is A6 FSD V1, which you can't get elsewhere. That's worth more than credits and that's the idea.
If I can make some upkeep for my carrier in process, why not? It's a win win situation for everyone.

Yes, but for the CG only the unloading counts. And if you open the carrier for everyone, the loaders will get shafted since they'll manage only 1-2 runs before the carrier gets dry

IF you want it fair for loaders, add people on your friends list in game and open the carrier for friends only.

Edit: else for a loader is faster to ferry the cargo for themselves directly for the source.
Took me 5 runs to comfortably set meself in the middle of top 75. And 5 runs were about 1h

But seriously...
If not for profits, give the loaders the full monetary benefit: buy at 30k.
If you want to get a little for yourself then sell at 35k. Unloaders will likely still buy it.

Yup.

If what you care about is the class 6 FSD, then what you really want is the CG reaching tier 5, and that means the priority should be more goods making their way to Alcor.
Now the thing is, the part that slows progress down, the "bottleneck" if you want, is not the unloading (plenty of people that do that and nothing else) but the loading, since you won't have as much help.

So giving all (or at least most) of the profits on the loading side (ie buying high-selling high) might attract more people to help fill the FC, and make the whole process faster.
As Serra said, you'll always find unloaders, I mean some FC owners have even been selling at MORE than what McDonald is paying and they got emptied.

or you can just buy a carrier and do it yourself. very simple.
this post is here for those who want to easily get into 75% and also it helps the CG, we're still not T5 yet.

now that's what I call GREED, I'd never set prices higher than what station pays. If loaders/unloaders make even a small profit in process, it's called win/win situation and that's good enough.

Anyway this offer won't stand for any longer, seems like nobody is interested. gonna move the carrier in 5-10 hours.

I have a carrier. I filled it with TCUs and flew it to Colonia. I then opened it up to all for 30k a pop. It was empty within 1 hour.

Please... There are squadrons / player groups for this activity. I try to advertise it often, but still it's not enough.

I am running a small logistics company (BVCO) exactly for this purpose: Loading/Unloading Carriers. You can book us for one single run or for longer, if necessary entire weeks. We don't expect large profit margins for us, just enough to make a living.

I've no problem with it being for profits if it was. I tried something very similar to what you are suggesting a couple of CGs ago:- I split the profits 1/3rd for loaders, 1/3rd for the carrier and 1/3rd for unloaders and had virtually no takers for loading, so loaded it myself and sold it very quickly at 90% of what the CG was paying at the time.

As others have said, the unloaders just care about tonnage for the CG, so will pay whatever you care to charge, finding someone to load it, with no guarantee they'll benefit at the other end is the hard part, hence needing to pay most of the money to the loaders, or agree in advance to add the loaders to friends list and only sell to friends at the other end.

Same here, just posted 8000T Comp Componants for sale at HMS Beagle in Alcor A 3 - no takers at 3000/T
Maybe I will just off load myself on Wed.

Did you let people know in system chat? Your carrier doesn't show up on Inara when I search for those components, so if you didn't advertise it, nobody will know that they're available. If you're using EDDI or EDMC, try opening your commodities market yourself to get the data published.

I'll do one more run back to Alcor and then check your FC out, if you haven't already replied here :)
