Carrier purchase and black adder problem

I cannot buy a fleet carrier, it gives me black adder error every single time, mind you i ask here cause i was ingored multiple times by the supports, even waiting as far as weeks
if anyone has some kind of solution, id like to hear it
the black adder error also wont allow me to multicrew or play in private sessions

it's a server connection issue. Many players at that area? your firewall, AV settings? I saw someone wrote that managed to buy carrier on 264th attempt...

Router should have Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) enabled. Port forwarding: Elite Dangerous requires that you select a UDP port between 5100 and 5200. 3. Once your router is configured with a specific port, forwarding must be enabled in the Network options menu by switching Port Forwarding to 'On'. Unless you have IP6
 
AFAIK, the port forwarding is just a problem for the peer to peer connection, that is to say playing together with other players in the same instance. This problem would be a client server connection and IMO the problem lies somewhere else. That is not to say that it isn't a good idea to enable port forwarding if you want to play in PG or open..!

I saw that number in one of the comments on youtuba, so it could be just a joke :D still not fun, when it happens to actual player <:( I can only suggest contacting your ISP, most of the times they know what to do and instructed how to assist gamers. Also- do you play Horizons Legacy or Odya version?
edit: you can try also access mission board and if it loads good- try to buy it ASAP and then move to other system. You can change name anytime in Livery option.

there are many reports dating back to 2019-2020th years that some modules like refinery causing this. Player were fixing it by unequipping at station and equipping again. I don't remember, but sounds familiar for me. Either my friends or myself had that one.
 
You don't mention if you are on PC or console. If PC and you have mobile internet on your phone, you can rule out your ISP+Router+Modem by sharing net via USB to your PC. It's worth a shot to complete your FC purchase. Make sure you unplug LAN cable and/or disconnect from WiFi.
 
I tried everyrhing, and today for my mental health, i give up on elite dangerous, much like i did on star citzen(it broke after a month and i never was able to play again), all these games in my opinion by now are nothing but money stealers to exploit the absence of other games of the kind to take all the money from a starved community before abandoning the game and run with the money.
i appreciate this helping community and i thank you for all the tips and attempts to help, but after i found out frontier ignored tickets and the customer support page is just a loop while there is no real way to get in contact, i am leaving this community.
mind you all, i write this in case anyone sees this thread so they know it s a never solved issue
 
If anyone else does find this thread, be aware there are literally thousands of Fleet Carriers in the game so obviously there's no widespread issue acquiring them.
Non sequitur. There could be a wide spread issue and still be thousands in the game.

OP, based on your claim that multiple games have caused you unresolved issues, you should speak to your ISP to see if you have a packet loss or other issue that could affect your game play. If not that, perhaps something in your files is causing your issues.
