Carry package for 15:39 - is this minutes or hours?

So I signed up for a mission to carry a package and I would be contacted in 15:39. Is this minutes:seconds or hours:minutes?

I signed up at Binet in LTT 15449 and the mission stated the target system was Ross 709.

Will I be contact in LTT 15449 or Ross 709?

I waited in Ross 709 for over 30 minutes and was never contacted by anyone! Flew around in SC and check out a Hi Res site. Got interdicted four times and still no contact!

The point of that kind of mission is to hold on to the package until the mission updates not wait around in the target system. Just carry on doing whatever you want outside of that system until it does. It will update at a given time after 15:39 in game time (note this does not mean straight away!)

I always thought this would be game time hours:minutes, i.e. 15:39 UTC (16:39 british summer time, 17:39 middel european summer time).

As for where - no idea. As far as I know, this mission type is still bugged :-(. If you make any other experiences, feel free to update.

Nah, it works fine, just travel about until the mission updates then go back to the target system I've not had one fail on me for a while now.

Had one of these screw up on me yesterday- jumped in a circle to 5 different systems...for an hour. no contact. i abandoned it in order to do something more productive. :(

Well I will never take another one of these.

After it updated it changed the time frame so during the new time frame I went back to Ross 709. The guy showed up and in the comm panel just said follow me. Did not say where. I targeted anyone in my area that I could target and none were the person I needed to follow. The mission finally timed out after 20 minutes and I failed the mission.

No more of these for me!!!!!!!!!!!!

When he says follow me he'll exit supercruise. You'll need to target his wake (white rectangle on the scanner) to follow him and be told where to go.

I agree that these missions aren't worth the effort.

I like these missions when I know i am going to be playing for a while and just running some delivery missions in the local area. They work especially nicely with the redaction ones where you know you are cruising the local areas.

What they do is cause you to get interdicted more often, and if you have your ship set right you can then fight the interdictions and claim the bountys for a good source of extra income on top of your basic missions.

To do them -

Take the mission.

Eventually once the timer (unseen) has reached its point, the mission will update itself and tell you where to go.

Fly there and the contact will appear.

Once he says follow me and drops out of supercruise, go to the contacts panel and you will see his wake,

target it and fly to his wake out point and drop to see him.
