Cars as Spawn Points

I had an idea that I think would be a great thing to implement into Planet Coaster. At one point I heard it mentioned that before the game was in beta and alpha they had been toying with doing parking lots for guests to enter but it became more of a parking lot simulator than what they were wanting. Fast forward to today. the games released and many of us who are like to create realistic parks are making our own parking lots.

THe issue is how do we have guests enter the map. The Guest Spawn point. With scenario editor we are now able to place our spawn points anywhere we want. But one problem remains. The spawn point is WAY to tall to do anything with. SO we are forced to have them enter our maps in weird ways.. like from bathrooms in the parking lot or something. This isn't ideal.

So here's my thought. Take the cars we got in studios.. and add one feature to them. SPawn Points. So it looks like guests are just appearing right at the cars. I mean yeah we'd still have multiple guests coming out of the same car and it would look like a clown car but.. still better than a cave or a bathroom or something.

Another option is just give us a new spawn point thats flat without the sign over it. Then we could just put cars over top of it.
 
It's a good idea. My guests spawn underground and come up through the pavement (flat concrete roof as floor). You could do something similar and let the guests surface under a car or bus.
 
You should check out the Lunawood series I was part of with Beyondyou89 and HardpunkKore on youtube. This was something I did for that park.. and I repeated the process for my park Crystal Gardens. The problem is having to hide the spawn point so far underground, and then getting the guests to walk up.. you get the curves on elevated path which cause problems having to hide.. Its easier to do with a bus. but with a car. I just don't see it possible cause of the lead up towards the car. I want to be able to hide it all perfectly.
 
Yeh it would look funny all the guests emerging from a car. Better to have a pay-station under a shelter in the car park, spawning from there.

I suppose you could hide the spawn point in thick bushes and trees next to car park which is a large path plaza with barriers to stop guests walking through cars. It would then look like the carpark had lots of people in it, walking towards entrance.
 
I would rather have them coming from the cars personally. It would be easier. If you place enough of them it will look more random..

At the very least you can't argue a flat spawn point would be a bad thing. Instead of the ultra tall one we have now that you have to hide underground or inside a d ouble decker bus or in a bathroom.
 
Just a question : are spawn points working in sandbox mode , or just in scenario mode , please ?

Yes it would be good. I would take the suggestion further though and request a global "make invisible" or "hide" checkbox on anything. Then we could hide lights, effects modules, speakers and other things while keeping the full benefit of their effects. Perhaps the items set to invisible become visible again when the game is paused, or we have a simple toggle to show/hide everything we've checked as invisible.
 
it would be handy if we could place the spawn points anywhere.. like trash cans can be placed but I'd say most likely if this was to happen we would just get like the vending machiens and such as its own path piece. Still.. either way. I think if they just redesigned the spawn point we have now and get get of the little gate on it. that would work perfect enough for to use better. I'm sure there are others who would like this as well.i've mentioen dthis in my streams and a lot of people like the idea. there.
