I and several other people are a little confused regarding the whole selling of Map data and would just like this clarified. To be clear, the reason I request this clarification is that I'd recently mapped a system where their was no system data available to buy from Cartographics.
Hypothetical situation
I enter a system which I was unable to buy map data for and fully map it. At this stage I return to an Imperial Station and sell the data to Cartography.
Is the data that I collated and sold in the above situation:
(i) Available to buy now for other people using the galactic map?
(ii) If so, is it only available to buy at a station of the same allegiance as the one I sold it to? (So in the above example, would you only be able to buy the map data that I'd handed in from an Imperial aligned system?
