Cartography Question

So, I flew out pretty far to some black holes I found in the hopes i could sell the cartography information. I got there, scanned the area, then got blown up on my way back before I was able to sell. I realize I lost my info, however, if I flew all the way back out there and scanned again, would I be able to sell the cartography info? Or, did that chance die with me the first time?

Hmm, good question. Do you know the names of the particular systems? Check on the Galaxy Map, if they show up as "Unexplored", you should be able to scan them again.

Should be able to since the first discovered tag only shows once you cash in your data.

Also even if planets/stars/black holes have a first discovered tag you can still scan them yourself for lesser credits.
