I tried to experience the previous encounters pre 2.4. Didn't make it. Managed the flower ship coming down to 'ray' the barnacles which was top. I picked up meta alloys and pulled in an unknown probe and looked for an old Thargoid 'base' to land new and drive down a hole!
Unfortunatley, bloody probe burnt a hole through my DBX cargo hold losing a load of meta alloys and the probe so.....no landsite explore gig for me.
However, before I try again to find a probe and repeat....anyone know if update has closed the door on me finding a site, landing and using the probe and alloys to pull up the Thargoid map gig?
