Just back from my jaunt out into the wild. I had grand ambitions of going to Sag A*, but got side-tracked by looking for Earth-like worlds and then the Buckyball A* run was announced so I thought I may as well do the A* trip while trying to post a time for the race. Anyway, after I got as far as the Cat's Paw Nebula I realised I hadn't come across any Earth-like worlds so I decide to start searching the area around the Nebula to try and find some. I mostly focused on systems containing single G class stars, and when that failed I added Ks and Fs to my search list. As it was becoming such a mission I decided that once I found one then I'd do a survey of the surrounding systems to try and do a bit of proper mapping rather than jumping around a lot.
Finally! Cat's Paw Sector LX-U D2-54 yielded an Earth-like world!
And guess what?
So did the next system after that! I surveyed a 20-LY bubble around LX-U D2-54 and found two more Earth-likes as well a very hot water world, nothing particularly exciting like black holes or nebula, but plenty of resources that could be extracted!
Once Powerplay landed I saw there was an Exploration Community Goal so I decided to head back and cash in.
One very, very, very small sector of the Galaxy has been mapped to a reasonable level - could be a useful place to set up base for when the Thargoids arrive. Lets see what Sirius Corp thinks...
