After the recent server crash just now my PC also crashed when trying to login again once it was supposed to be online. After rebooting I find I have an update for Adobe Acrobat Reader. Could it be the cause whether on players systems or the edServer?View attachment 99234

An adobe reader update isn't going to crash completely unrelated Frontier servers especially considering how often Adobe products update.

If it was the players then many would have less broadband and stress several Instance Servers and then cause the main Server stress also. I am also sure that Combat Logging does cause crashes.
.
Else perhaps the edServer has Adobe Acrobat on auto updates. It was a severe enough update to physically crash my PC which was running ED on the Menu only at this time. It also crashed others who also posted the same finding. Now when I look at the new Acrobat software it does not have a feature to turn off Autoupdates but has a manual click in the menu. I just don't know if the previous version had any options to stop auto updates but seem to remember it was an option when I installed it. So it could have easily slipped by onto any Server without noticing the possible issue on performance.
.
Only bleeding Adobe would choose Saturday morning at 12:30am to do an update. I have heard of complaints about Adobe being very bad in the industry and this is just an example. OK for businesses when they are not open but NOT OK for us gamers playing late at night and into the early hours!

C u m hoc ergo propter hoc mass update notification on players connected together via Instances which have edServer as hub which also may have inadvertently gotten it also. Besides that, the Adobe servers are shared with Amazon whom own the majority.
