Newcomer / Intro Caution about Community Goal new Minimum Contribution Level

People might have seen our posts in this sub-forum about newcomers being able to earn easy seed-capital by dropping just one load into a trade Community Goal. It seems that since the recent update, there now is a larger threshold for making the 99% minimum payout band. The current Waldo Walter trade CG for example requires 20t to get into the 99% zone (the spreadsheet displayed figure of 1t is now wrong) and that might even rise before the CG ends. So until F D make minimum contribution level 100% again (if they do), please exercise caution about trying for a trade community goal in a low-capacity ship - check the relevant community goal thread to get information about contribution levels for that one.

Yeah, that's what happens if there are too many posts about easy 500.000 credits.... that's when FD changes the odds. Now I understand why so many commanders keep there fortune cookies a secret...

No - it is because the pilots who sign-up but don't contribute are no longer included in the calculations. Result is that all bands have moved up in requirement. Previously the minimum contribution band was at 100% - so that anyone who made any contribution to the goal (trade, BH, exploration) got the minimum payout. That changed to 99% (I don't know when) and I have heard that it will go back to 100% now that they discount signed-up commanders with zero-contribution - but don't hold your breath.
