General Caves and Alien Creatures in Odyssey

I'm looking forward to the DLC ...

But the development diary didn't excite me.

I would like to see something really different to explore, like caves.

Is there a possibility of adding caves with rare elements and alien creatures?

Or some other content really different from what we already have to explore now?

There could be possibility to find minor Thargoid hives on planets, that would be dangerous as hell to go in, but totally worth it with unique engineering materials and bounties.

About this, Frontier, please, make the Thargoids actually mega threatening, like the Tyranids from the WH40K lore, so that a bit like theirs ships, we are forced to cooperate to actually be able to take some of them down.

Or Guardians Dungeouns (underground ruins) with traps, drones and "treasures"

I liked the development diary but remember it was only part 1 of many. I think they will be mentioning things like caves but if there's creatures or Thargoids they may actually keep that part a secret, so we can find out for ourselves.

this type of content we need in the game, procedural caves can generate hours and hours of fun for explorers.

it would be very interesting, it could practically generate a biome completely different from the rest of the planet, with plants, creatures and unique geological formations.
I hope that frontier has already mastered the generation of procedural caves with the engine, it would be a giant waste not to implement this to the game.

Exactly ... I dream of researching and discovering new creatures more interesting than plants. And caves are an excellent way to bring life to these planets with a thin layer of atmosphere.

Caves seem unlikely I'm this update, because they're striving for realism / a basis in science. The kinds of planets we'll have access to when Odyssey launches (thin or no atmosphere, no water/weather, etc) aren't the kind where caves would form.

They've described Odyssey as a foundation though, so I imagine they'll be building on that foundation with new planet types as time goes on. Denser atmospheres will probably be next, then planets with surface liquids (you usually need an atmosphere to "keep" an ocean, etc), with the plants and eventually animals getting more complex the more air there is for them to live in.

That could be but as we've only had 1 developer diary so far who knows? We know for sure that combat is going to be a thing in Odyssey so there's definitely more content to be revealed before launch.

Not sure why but that image reminds me of a certain Dwemer cave in Skyrim. But it WOULD be nice to see stuff like that, skulk around in the dark, things waiting in the shadows, etc.
