CCP are getting out of the VR business

Makes sense for them, Valkyrie had no staying power. It was just a bit of fluff and a fun experiment.

You don't need to get the hype for it right now, but maybe you can get the hype for it when it's less expensive! It's always this way with tech. It'll take a long time for things to trickle down, but I'm glad the ball got rolling because sims will never be the same and it's well worth it just for those. More than happy being a niche, I'm not Mark Zuckerberg and couldn't give a flying thing that begins with an f whether or not a billion people are tied in to his goggle network to sell ads to.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
As a guess, I'd say that you don't have set then....

You'd be right. :)
I did try the dev kit of the Rift way back and it was terrible. Not saying the new stuff is the same, but it's not something I'm going to spend money on at current prices.

VR headsets are too cumbersome right now.

And I do have one; it barely gets any use because it's such a pain in the rear to unwrap yourself when you need to pee, or to get upto answer the door or do anything that isn't an extended, uninterrupted game session. I have a family. That happens so infrequently as to be admissably described as "never."
