Celebrity endorsement of a product seems to be important to some people. Would that work with Elite?

Why would it? I actually like a fairly smug up his own rear end Tom Cruise, but Id never follow his religious beliefs no matter how much he endorsed them. Celebrities are just people with a different career...fairly sure they still pee and poo the same as everyone else so why would anyone care if they played a game to chill out with? Loads of celebrities already do and very few bat an eyelid at it. Just like men and women both play games, they are all gamers...celebrities and mortals...all gamers nothing more nothing less ^

Being a celebrity myself and often being seen to be endorsing the game. I would have to say that of course it works.

I doubt if the game would be here if it weren't for celebrity endorsements. We were lucky to have the BBC Click team as fans, especially Kate Russell who not only worked tirelessly, but her understanding of how social media works paid dividends. There was a surge in Kickstarter funding when Dara O Briain tweeted about it.

I actually suggested it years ago to have a Star in a Reasonably-Priced spaceship. Stick them in an Uber-ship. Tell everyone where they are and where they're heading. And see how far they can get before the sheer number of the great unwashed takes them down. It's a game of skill and popularity because the celebrity could appeal to the players to help them on their way.
