"Celebrity" voice-acting in ED?

I know we've got Obsidian Ant doing the station announcements at Obsidian Orbital since 2.4 - and very nice it is, too. [up]

As I've visited other stations over the last couple of weeks, however, I've also noticed a variety of other rather distinct voices making announcements in addition to the "standard" ones, which I don't recall hearing before.

For example, on my way to Sol last night (can't recall where, exactly) I noticed a fella with a broad Northern Irish accent suggesting that I visit the station every time I'm passing through the system to see what equipment and commodities they have for sale.

Anybody know if more "celebrity announcers" have been inserted into the game?

Don't think they are celebrity's (A list or Z list) The sound team have been adding new voices constantly for well over a year now. Any big update will result in a new set of voices being added.

Easiest way to do this is to get one of the HCS Sound Packs. Loads of "celebrities" on there.

This isn't Star Citizen, FD haven't got hundreds of millions in mugs, erm I mean happy and satisfied backers money to throw at pointless celebrity voice overs!

Doubt it. But it would be cool if that ever they had specific stations for different celebrities. Matt Berry doing station announcements would be the best thing ever...

HCS voice packs is the place to go for celeb voices.

Yeah, quite surprised at some of the names they managed to get to contribute. A Patrick Stuart pack would be great, am happy with good old synthesized A.S.T.R.A though.
