I've decided to limit my wishlist to just three full enclosure species (a mammal, a bird and a reptile) plus a single terrarium species.

Mammal
The culpeo fox. It would add an unrepresented animal group (a small canid), can occupy a range of habitats (they naturally occur in high mountains, deserts and mountainous forests) and is also much larger than any of the true foxes (they are not actually foxes per se, and are instead related to wolves and coyotes but have convergently evolved a fox-like appearance and lifestyle). They are also kept in a number of zoos in South America.

Bird
The ocellated turkey. Definitely the bird I want most in the game and high on the list of my most-wanted animals. They look a bit like the more familiar domestic and wild turkeys but are from the rainforests of Central America (they live alongside the Baird's tapir and I imagine would go very well in a mixed exhibit with them) and are ridiculously colourful. There is a picture on the link below just to show how vivid they are:

Reptile
The Argentine giant (or black-and-white) tegu. One of the largest South American lizards and would be the easiest animal to implement from my list because, although they are not especially related, they have convergently evolved to be similar in shape and size to a monitor lizard and so the Nile monitor could easily be used as a rig for this species. If it was not already a terrarium species, the green iguana would have been my top choice for a full enclosure reptile.

Terrarium species
The large-bodied earthworm (Martiodrilus crassus). There's something about a five-foot long earthworm that lives in the South American rainforest that just appeals to me so much. We already have another giant South American invertebrate that doesn't live in captivity (the Titan beetle), so I figured the earthworm would be in good company. There are some pictures of one of these giant worms in the link below:

If I had to pick just four based on the Arctic DLC model -

- Capybara. A very common sight in zoos nowadays.
- Spider monkey. Any species will do.
- Giant anteater. I loved them in the original Zoo Tycoon and felt like they were crucially missing from the sequel.
- Jaguar. The obvious choice. I'd also like it if the melanistic variant was A) present at all and B) a common occurrence in Sandbox as the mutation is not nearly as rare as albinism in nature.

As for exhibit animals, we do already have a good selection for South/Central America, but I think it would be a good pack to introduce aquaria to. Plenty of awesome freshwater fish in the Amazon, and freshwater turtles (such as the mata mata). Even the green anaconda would be a good addition to a larger semi-aquatic exhibit (not suitable for a habitat though).
