CG Bug - Carrier Stocks of Thermal Cooling Units disappeared into thin air

Good morning CMDRs / CMs,

Help! Has anyone had above problem as after my carrier jump last night about 6, 000 units completely disappeared from carrier?

Did you try locating them in your normal market and your secure market too? Or maybe you've activated a cargo filter by mistake?
Relog usually helps for interface bugs...

Hello CMDR, relog a couple times same issue, no filters applied, in both market & inventory as well as carrier management all shows Thermal Cooling Unit = 0.

Maybe you could check the logs to see what happened. They're usually at C:\Users\YOUR-USER-NAME\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous

I'd dare suggest that you had forgotten a sale order for those units and other players took advantage...

Nope as it was never added as tradeable commodity. Typical use of my FC is for getting around, exploration, storage for BGS work and not for general trading.

Thank you for your advice CMDR, which file do I open to check...I see there are standard journals cache files, other files I've never really opened before such as cargo.json market.json.?

This might be same issue with my post (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...oesnt-register-all-cargo.597129/#post-9690533), I filled up my carrier with 10800t and ended up selling only 5760 because I didn't keep evidence on how much cargo I have left in my fleet carrier after jumping it 2 times.

The latest Jounal.YYMMDDHHNN.log file is your up-do-date log. I use detail view in file explorer and sort by Date modified column.

It shows the TCU I bought but it does not seem to show any transactions (i.e. accidental sales order although I am 1000% sure it could not have happended) so this must be mysterious disappearance similar to CMDR davinator791. Thank you anyway CMDR. I reported the bug but not sure if anyone will look at it in view CG time-line.

Did you log it as a bug? Has anyone responded or treat it as a loss cause CMDR? Interesting as mine also disppeared after two carrier jumps!

Did you use the issue tracker to report it? I'd suggest you use the Support link on the game launcher, because they might be able to compensate the missing quantities much faster.

Cool, reported bug via main Frontier website already earlier. No big deal, just wanted to alert in case other CMDRs may come across same issues!

There's usually always someone available at support, but the pessimist in me would say that the issue tracker is where issues go to die... (not as bad as the suggestion subforum, but close)

Yeah, likely as I've registered bugs before with no acknowledgement of any sort. Thought post on forum this time too just in case one of the CMs sees it and "feel sorry" for the likes of CMDR@ davinator791 & I...spirit of good will to all mankind & tharkind bearing in mind only Jan 8th.

No need to "feel sorry" about me, I'm pretty sure I've secured my 75% to get the rewards

This post was just a warning that some weird gremlins still lurking on fleet carriers so you should check how much you actually deliver for CG.

Cool. I've managed to scrape enough for 75% now although most were only available via planetary ports now. The "lost" stock was meant for others in the squadron...sad

I haven't had anything completely disappear, but there's a bug when buying / selling from / to carriers, then your cargo appears as empty or full. For example if you buy from carrier, cargo wont appear in your inventory until you re-visit market. First time i saw this, I panicked and was like "WHAT THE F, WHERE IS MY CARGO?" but it re-appears as soon as you visit any market. Maybe similar thing exists with carrier?
If it never re-appeared, then no idea.

I did once notice that someone forgot sell order on Agronomic treatment, I bought everything for like 3 mil and sold for 250 mil lol. I looked it up on Inara and that carrier showed up, so I went to buy it all.
Sell orders don't always have to be put in, I almost made same mistake on my carrier. When I dropped some off into my carrier via "transfer", then somehow it was up for sale for galactic average, no idea why / how. So now I always check my carrier market TWICE when I add any new items.
