I am having difficulties finding any of the commodities in the stations for this week's goal. I got quite a few early on, but now I can't find them anywhere. They show they are there in Inara, and my friends are having no difficulties finding them at the same stations I can't. Is this how it normally works in solo? I was in the top 10 so far, would that have anything to do with it? Or is this just a technical glitch to report? Thank you

Nope. The galaxy is shared across all modes. For a CG demand can quickly strip nearby supplies so it's not inconceivable that someone will get something one moment and it'll be gone the next. If your friend is in the same station at the same time and you both see different supply (if it's not rapidly diminishing) then that would be an issue.
Inara only updates if commanders are running the programs that send it data, it can be often and quickly outdated, especially for CGs.

Even then, not unusual when there's CG levels of buying going on - there are multiple market servers and they don't always sync up immediately, so you can see different amounts for quite a while.

Not seeing a lack of requisite commodity in the station I'm using - it's had stock well over 100,000 units in all the time I've been using it for this CG.

If you use the many filters available on Inara's version of looking for commodities there are often more supplies than you think - things minimum pad size and minimum supply set to a higher number can make a substantial difference to results listed. The lists can be further refined using more of the filter options (click View Additional Options) such as pad size, price, max price age, etc.
