So as the title says I'm a Community Goal newbie and I was wondering how the rewards work. I'm at the top 15% in the Una relief effort. Is there an article or link(s) that talks about how the rewards work?

I dunno if there's ana rticle or anything that explains, but the way it works as I understand is as follows. The rewards for each bracket i.e. Top X% are determined by the current Tier that the CG has reached, as determined by static thresholds of tons delivered/bounties cashed in/whatever the goal demands.
Those rewards are, as you'll see, outlined on the Bulletin Board mision for the CG and in the reference in your Transactions tab. Your position in the bracket determines which of the rewards you get, in terms of the cash sum. So if you're in the Top 15% and the reward for Top 15% reads 2,500,000 credits + global rewards then you'll get that much cash plus the Global rewards.
Global Rewards are, again, dependent on teh current Tier that you'll see to the right hand side and could be as simple as 'Stage X completed;' which is a nebulous concept that FD use to determine how successful the goal was when writing up the results for GalNet, but it might be something more substantial such as '10% discount on module X for 14 days', all participants of the CG get to benefit from such rewards, hence their global nature.
Does that make sense? I' caffeine deprived this morning so I may be talking nonsense, but if you have any questions I'll try and clarify.

Seems to make sense... Thanks to ETN (http://etn.io/) I found a trade route near Una that I can make money and contribute to the Relief Effort with around 2 million in profit.
When I last looked at one of the other plague CGs (in Bast) there were no tiers. I've not seen that before, I don't know if Una is the same.
That makes me worry this is a CG set up to fail. (i.e. with one high target which is very unlikely ever to be reached) Possibly just to move the story along, and act as a warning that those systems are about to be quarantined so get any ships you have stationed there to another system.

Yeah, I logged outside the station so if it gets quarantined I'm not stuck in port and Una doesn't have rewards at the moment.
I don't think you can get stuck in there, you're allowed to leave. But they wouldn't allow anyone else in after the quarantine starts.
Parked my ship in the plague station last night, even after reading a post about someone having a (spare) ship stuck in one of those stations. Not my smartest hour.
