CH Combatstick vs CH Fighterstick

My CH gear (look in my sig) was bought for combat flight sims. I soon afterwards got TrackIR so don't use the hats for POV. Now with ED I added Voice Attack, so now only need a very few buttons. Many people complain about the Fighterstick (maybe holds true for Combatstick too) that the 8-way POV is hard to reach. People either have small hands or have the stick on top of their desks. The F-16 side stick (which the Fighterstick is modeled from) is next to the pilot's right thigh, not 16" in front and 6" higher than he is.

All that being said, I love my CH gear and it has worked flawlessly since I got it 6 years ago.

If you get the pro throttle there is a tiny analog stick on the throttle that works great for yaw. I don't miss pedals. I have the combat stick but could use a few more buttons. Go fighter stick.

I have the Combat stick with the Pedals (Using toe brakes as throttle)

Santa is bringing me the Throttle - wooohooo (Damn having to go to inlaws for Chrimble!)

Should be control tastic.

That said if anyone wants to donate an MFP as well I would not say no!

I love the Trim pots on the Combat stick - match the letter box rotation and drift on into the station..........

I should be all buttoned out by the new year....

I have been tempted by the ch products except for the need for separate yah peddles which won't work for me.

There's a killer deal on my local Craigslist right now only I am broke with Xmas lol. FF2 stick and pro throttle both barely used for $80. Force feedback is amazing in some games like ww2 with control stiffening. Not so much ED.

I use a FF2 at the moment, but have an X-55 arriving on Monday, I can say that I've really enjoyed the resistance from the FF in ED, so much so, that I may struggle to give up the stick to the X-55, although I'll still use the throttle... will see how it goes :)
