CH Fighterstick / Combatstick size mod

Hello all.

Recently got myself a CH Fighterstick, very pleased except for the fact that it's a bit big for my hand.

I tried a couple of things to try and mod it but best sucess today with something called Polymer clay.

Video of the work on it here

I have a couple more modified palm rests in the oven now as the one in the video feels a bit heavy, and I have more stuff left over :)

Certainly works though. Better than pipe lagging and cardboard!

<edit> Oh yeah I call it a fighterstick / combat stick interchangeably! My bad.

Interesting. I have real diddy hands (I'm 5'3" so you can guess how big my hands are) and even though I find my x55 comfortable to use I do have the same problem..if I can call it a problem as reaching the top POV and A (red) button. That clay doodah stuff may just be the answer.

Ive got the same problem with an x55 too. How much did you need to use to make the hand rest? Ive seen if it for sale in 56 gram packs and 350 gram packs?

I got a 350g pack and I have used it all, however I have made about six of the palm rest mods so far trying to get a sweet spot between the amount of lift I need, the weight of mod and being the right shape to "clip" onto the shaft of the stick and not need glueing as I don't really want to glue the palm mod down.

If you know you are going to get it right first time then 56g should be sufficient however ... you ain't gonna get it right first time :) Or at least you are going to think your first effort could be improved on unless you are some kind of artistic genius.

Hmm artistic im not so i think ill go with the 350g pack(can you buy it by the pallet :) )

thanks for the reply.

When i had an x-55 i went on ebay and had a wrist spacer 3d printed for a few quid, its a good alternative as once i'd attached it with 3m grip tape it barely had any weight and could be removed whenever.
