Hardware & Technical CH Fighterstick with yaw axis

How to save myself £50 on a replacement joystick:

I wish I had thought of that before....

By making the pinky button on my Fighterstick a "press to hold" binding for "Yaw to Roll" I now have a CH Fighterstick with yaw axis.

I always thought Yaw to Roll meant that any Yaw input would transition to a Roll, it never occurred to me that it would work the other way around. Now I have a stick that is normally the usual pitch and roll but when I hold in the pinky button the roll axis becomes the yaw axis. No need to use my CH Pro Pedals any more and so no skittering of my chair when being attacked! Woohoo!

Now I have to decide whether to keep the Cobra M5 that is on it's way from Czech Republic.....

I have a Fighterstick as well. I did try the Yaw to Roll idea a bit back but found it a bit of a pain when docking as you couldn't yaw and roll at the same time which made rolling to correct the rotation of the station slot and lining up difficult. I normally use rudder pedals on the main setup but when in 'sofa pilot' mode I use one of the hats on the CH Pro Throttle as a digital rudder which seems a good compromise. I cant use twisty joysticks.
