Hardware & Technical CH Products not recognized by Elite (not at all)

Hey guys, I already posted this in the support section but I think this would be more appropriate here. (@moderators, please forgive my floodness :p)

So, for those who have the HOTAS from CH, I have a big problem .. : Elite just does not recognize anymore any component from the set, which means the fighterstick, the pro throttle and the pro pedals.

What I don't understand is that the first time I launched Elite, after plugging them and installing CH control manager, I had a "advanced joystick" line available in the control options of the game.

So I set everything from this "advanced joystick" feature. I did not map anything from the control manager and used the direct mode. Then we could see for example "Joy_4" more than one time (throttle + joy), yes, but there were not any conflict between the devices. I also checked one more time before writing this and the file from my control configuration is still here, though not available in game.

What happened now ? Well, windows (8.1) had to update, so I restarted. Then launched Elite, and ...... nothing on control options but "keyboard only" and "generic joystick". :(

---
I see many ppl struggling with their CH stuff, but I truly did not have any problem the very first time. I did not have anything to do but simply put the desired inputs directly on the control options of Elite.

Here are my config files so you can see how I did this (it also might give you some ideas).

I'm feeling quite desperate right now (I don't want to remap everything :().

If anyone has an idea about how I can recover what I had the first time, which was working pretty well, it would be much appreciated ^^

I'm still here should you have any question.

Thank you for your time !

I only use the CH Control software to test and calibrate my gear. All functions are mapped directly in the games I play (except for Falcon 4.0). If Windows recognizes your gear, the game should also. I did notice that after some testing one day, I forgot to plug my USB powered hub back into my computer, and when I fired up Elite, it only showed the KB and Mouse setup. I quit the game, plugged in my hub and started the game again...then all my HOTAS settings were back.

EDIT:
It's possible that perhaps your Windows update changed the USB ID for your gear and maybe the game no longer recognizes it. Try running the game without running the CHCM software and see if you can see your gear. If so, then try mapping the functions from the game. I know it will be a pain, but I think you'll only need to do it once.

[SOLVED] CH Products not recognized (not at all)

Thanks for your answer AH_ImADot !

Windows indeed always recognizes my gear, everything is nicely plugged, and I also tried the unplug/replug stuff before launching Elite again.

I'm gonna try that this evening and tell you what happens next :)

(sry for bad english)

EDIT:
Ok so it seems that you were right as I had to remap everything... ^^' I used the "Generic Joystick" feature in order to rebind everything. I also erased the usb drivers and reinstalled CH control manager.

Still no "Advanced joystick" line in control options but now it works fine.

Thanks !
