Deleted member 110222 D Jan 17, 2017 #1 Just simply looking to find out the value of chaff in the titular situation.
GilliganTX Jan 17, 2017 #2 I find chaff useful in CZ's, even when piloting larger ships. Biggest mitigation to chaff effectiveness, IMO, is range.

jasonbarron Jan 17, 2017 #3 I too have noticed chaff being useful in a CG for prolonging staying power. My typical Massacre Mission setup is 2x chaff launchers.

Kyennamo K Jan 17, 2017 #4 Well....i have made billions in CZs and can tell you chaff is about 87 percent useless. Tons of NPCs in CZs use fixed. And the ones that dont usually have at least 1 fixed weapon or weapon that ignores chaff. But....of course......there is always that other 13 percent

Bryan K Jan 18, 2017 #5 I've abandoned chaff on pretty much all of my ships, and I'm on the verge of ditching point defense as well. Those utility slots are better served as mounting points for shield boosters and heat sink launchers.
