Chain Hyperspace Jumps

Players complain of "the grind" but they aren't really complaining about doing missions, just getting there. I know the game is based on "the galaxy is big", but that's all just arbitrary anyway.

Obsidian Ant defines "time sinks" as things that don't progress gameplay, they're just a waste of time. Hyperspace jumping is one of those things. At 30 seconds per jump, from the time you hit "go" to drop out, if you have to go somewhere 20 jumps away that's 10 minutes of zero gameplay, just watching a loading screen. Can you think of another game with 10 minutes of loading screens? That's the grind.

This is an idea of something that players would love, and it would get more people to pay for this game:

Idk I don't even know why we don't just have auto-pilot. And I think it's completely unnecessary and unrealistic that landing modules exist. Realistically they would be included in all ships and wouldn't occupy a whole slot. All you'd need is just a good navigation computer and BLAM. I think it'd just be better if it either came with the ship or if you could just upgrade the ship without having to sacrifice useful functionalities in exchange for ... automatic landings.

I know the answer is "because that's how we like the game" but it does break the lore. Originally, I sort of went with a "no robot" lore that maybe the lawmakers wanted to ensure lawsuits were based on human not machine error or something, but then Horizon's dropped and we see the ship has a very capable auto-pilot that can take off, maneuver, orbit, navigate, and land by itself! With no additional size or weight.
